Training Introduction
The Fire Alarm Systems: Codes & Standards Requirements for Installation, Verification, and Testing training course is designed to provide participants with a thorough understanding of modern fire and gas detection systems, their design, integration, and operational requirements. Fire and gas detection systems are critical for plant safety, as they continuously monitor hazardous conditions and trigger appropriate responses, including plant shutdowns, to protect personnel, assets, and the environment.
This course addresses the challenges of designing reliable systems beyond rule-of-thumb methods by introducing performance-based approaches aligned with ISA-TR-84.00.07 guidelines. Participants will gain hands-on experience with fire and gas detection hardware, wiring, and software logic required to meet plant shutdown philosophies.
